The first half of my life was spent battling through anger and depression—the result of being raised by parents who had survived terrible atrocities during World War II, and sadly, lived out the remainder of their lives in bitterness. That harsh burden was crushing to me as I grew up, and I struggled tremendously. That is, until I was blessed with the most incredible gift of his life — a gift that changed everything for me, and for those fortunate enough to be guided and inspired by me.
